Trevor Cahill (Diamondbacks)

7/25/12 11:50 pm

Trevor Cahill allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks in 6 2/3 innings Wednesday, falling to 8-9 in Arizona’s 4-2 loss to the Rockies.

Cahill struck out six in getting out-dueled by Jeff Francis. The non-quality outing was his third straight, and fifth in seven starts. Simply put, Cahill isn’t pitching as well as the man he was traded for, rookie Jarrod Parker. Through 126 innings, he’s posted a 3.86 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 91/49 K/BB ratio. He’ll take on the Dodgers in L.A. Monday.
