Matt Garza was pulled after just three innings Saturday against the Cardinals due to an apparent wrist injury.
This does not appear trade-related, though Garza’s trade value would certainly be affected if the injury is at all serious. The right-hander took a spill while trying to cover first base on a double play earlier in the game and was later seen stretching his wrist in the dugout. He wound up throwing three shutout innings vs. St. Louis.
