Jim Thome smashed his 611th career home run in Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Indians in Cleveland.
He appears to be settling in nicely in his new role as the everyday DH and No. 3 hitter in manager Buck Showalter’s lineup. Thome is now hitting .275 (14-for-51) with three homers and five RBI in 13 games with his new club. As long as he stays healthy, he should provide more than enough power production to carry relevance in standard mixed fantasy leagues.
