Jarrod Parker pitched eight innings of one-run ball Saturday in a victory over the Yankees.
Parker got the better of Phil Hughes in the 2-1 game, and the A’s now have a chance to go for a four-game sweep on Sunday. Parker is 7-4 with a 3.00 ERA this season. Most years, he’d be right in the thick of the ROY race. Because of Mike Trout, though, it’s pretty much a battle for second place in the AL.
