Brandon Phillips swatted a two-run homer on Saturday, helping the Reds to a 6-2 victory over the Brewers.
Phillips finished the night 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and two RBI. His towering two-run homer off Jose Veras in the seventh inning provided valuable insurance runs. The 31-year-old second baseman is having another fine season, now batting .289/.331/.448 with 12 home runs, 57 RBI and five stolen bases.
