Evan Longoria (hamstring) could leave for a rehab assignment when the Rays travel to the West Coast later this month.
That’s encouraging news. Longoria participated in live batting practice over the weekend and is scheduled to travel with the team during their upcoming nine-game road trip. If all goes well, he could begin his rehab assignment before the end of the month. While he still has some hurdles to cross, he appears to be moving in the right direction.
