Kenley Jansen (Dodgers)

Kenley Jansen took a blown save and a loss after a bizarre steal of home and error in the ninth tonight against the Padres.

The Padres had first and third with none out and second and third with one out against Jansen, but it looked like he might pitch his way out of it until he fell asleep on the mound and pinch-runner Everth Cabrera took off for home. Jansen noticed just in time, but his throw home sailed over a sleeping A.J. Ellis. Not only did Cabrera score, but Will Venable came around from second after Jansen was late to cover the plate. The first run went as unearned, while the second scored on Jansen’s error. It was his first blown save since May 26.
