Vance Worley pitched well in a victory over the Rockies on Saturday, allowing just two runs on eight hits over his 6 2/3 innings.
He walked two and struck out two on the night. While Coors Field can be an extremely difficult place to pitch, Worley was obviously up for the challenge on Saturday. The only damage against him on the evening came on a Dexter Fowler RBI single, followed by a Carlos Gonzalez run scoring double in the third inning. The “Vanimal” has now turned in six quality starts over his last seven outings, and will look to continue that success when he takes on the Giants at home on Friday.
