Jonny Venters (elbow) hopes to throw a bullpen session Saturday.
Venters “felt great” after a long-toss session on Friday, his third throwing session in the past three days. If he makes it through this weekend without a hitch, he will likely be sent out on a brief minor league rehab assignment. The 27-year-old southpaw is eligible to return next weekend.
