The Orioles plan to activate Endy Chavez (hamstring) from the 15-day disabled list prior to Friday’s game.
Chavez was hitless in four at-bats with Low-A Delmarva on Tuesday after going 0-for-4 with the O’s Gulf Coast League affiliate on Monday. He is slated to play in two more games with Delmarva before rejoining the Orioles. The veteran outfielder has been sidelined since mid-June with a strained right hamstring.
