Michael Weiner, executive director of the players association, said a grievance could be filed after the Indians placed Nick Hagadone on the minor league disqualified list.
The Indians placed Hagadone on the restricted list after he suffered a self-inflicted left hand injury following a poor performance last Friday night. The 26-year-old will not get paid or receive major league service time as long as he remains on the disqualified list. Weiner said he did not know all the facts, but that union personnel were investigating the matter.
