Matt Cain has been named the National League starting pitcher for Tuesday night’s All-Star Game.
He’ll get the start over R.A. Dickey and Stephen Strasburg. Cain enters the All-Star break 9-3 with a 2.53 ERA and 118/24 K/BB ratio. He ranks second in the National League in innings and WHIP (0.96), and threw the first perfect game in Giants history earlier this season.
