Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik told Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com that Felix Hernandez “ain’t going anywhere.”
Some teams surely would be willing to unload their farm system to land the stud right-hander, but Zduriencik has no intention of dealing his ace. “Who’s going to give me what I’d need to get for him? You’re always going to be looking for him if you don’t have him,” Zduriencik said. “We’re going to enjoy Felix Hernadez in a Mariners uniform. We love him. And he loves the Mariners.” Hernandez is in the third year of a five-year, $78 million contract.
