Andrelton Simmons (broken pinkie) could miss four-to-six weeks, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Simmons fractured the fifth metacarpal bone of his right hand when he slid into second base in the fourth inning of Sunday’s game. Jack Wilson figures to stay in a backup role when Atlanta resumes play after the All-Star break. Tyler Pastornicky, who opened the year as the starter, could be summoned from Triple-A Gwinnett and given everyday at-bats. Atlanta could also use the next four days working the phones in an effort to acquire a veteran stopgap shortstop via trade.
