Jaime Garcia (shoulder) made 40 throws from 60 feet on flat ground Wednesday.
It’s the first time he’s thrown since landing on the DL, and he’s very pleased with how he felt. “It’s probably early to get too excited or to talk a lot about what went on today. But I can already tell a big difference,” Garcia said. “It’s good. I’m really confident that the rehab I’m doing will make a difference. I’m just positive about this whole thing, and I’m working hard, doing everything I can.” Garcia, who will throw again Friday, is hoping to rejoin the Cardinals’ rotation in the first or second week of August.
