Indians manager Manny Acta confirmed that right-hander Zach McAllister will be called up to start Thursday against the Orioles.
He’ll take the rotation spot of Jeanmar Gomez, who was optioned to the minors on Monday. In four starts with the Indians this season, McAllister has a 3.96 ERA and 22/6 K/BB ratio over 25 innings. Most fantasy owners can steer clear, but he’ll be worth owning in AL-only leagues if he can keep a rotation spot.
