Tim Lincecum overcame an awful first to pitch six innings of three-run ball Friday against the A’s.
Lincecum allowed the first six batters of the game to reach, scoring three runs, before suddenly striking out three straight to end the first. He went on to allow just two more baserunners, both of them coming on walks. Hopefully, that first inning was a turning point for him. Still, it’s not something his owners can count on.
