Gregor Blanco delivered a go-ahead single in the top of the ninth as the Giants beat the A’s 5-4 on Friday.
The two-run single gave the Giants a 5-3 lead, allowing them to withstand Josh Reddick’s solo homer in the bottom of the ninth. Blanco ended the day 2-for-4 with three steals. He’s definitely slowed down at the plate — he entered the night in a 1-for-20 skid — but the Giants seem prepared to stick with him in the leadoff spot.
