Chris Iannetta (wrist) will be cleared Saturday to restart his throwing program.
Iannetta suffered tightness in his forearm when trying to prepare for a rehab assignment and has been doing strictly hitting-activities since. “Hopefully we’ll see some progress this week and get a better idea on when he’s going out on his rehab assignment,” manager Mike Scioscia said. Iannetta is working his way back from wrist surgery. His timetable is a bit of a moving target, but he could return before the All-Star break if all goes well.
