Joyce’s back tightness is still considered a day-to-day thing, but the club might opt to play it safe and DL him when Jeff Keppinger is activated Friday. They’ll see how Joyce, who hasn’t played since Tuesday, is feeling when he comes to the park Friday before making a decision. “It depends on if there is a decent amount of improvement, then we could keep playing it out,” executive vice president Andrew Friedman said. “If there’s not, then we probably wouldn’t.”
