Carl Crawford (elbow) believes he will be ready to begin a rehab assignment soon.
“I’m definitely feeling good about my chances of getting back on the field,” Crawford said. “Should be pretty soon here. Hopefully, when I do get back on the field I don’t have any setbacks and I’ll be in the big leagues playing at some point.” Crawford reports that he is still having issues with his elbow, but he’s been working to tweak his throwing motion to lessen the stress caused to the joint. At this pace, a fair estimate would have Crawford back right around the All-Star break.
