Addison Reed blew his first save of the season in Sunday’s 2-1, 10-inning loss to the Dodgers.
Protecting a 1-0 lead in the ninth, Reed allowed singles to Bobby Abreu and Elian Herrera before Juan Rivera tied up the game with a one-out sacrifice fly. Although today was Reed’s first blown save, it was hardly his first poor outings. However, he had been scored upon in just one of his past seven outings coming into this afternoon. His job isn’t in danger.
