Wilson Betemit had a nice night at the plate in Friday’s loss to the Braves, going 2-for-3 with a double, walk and run scored.
Betemit’s average has been disappointing at .238, but he’s provided solid thump from the bottom of the lineup with eight homers and 26 RBI. At this point in his career, we know exactly what we are getting from Betemit, which is solid power, weak contact skills and strikeouts by the bushel.
