Jamie Moyer tossed five shutout innings Saturday in his first outing at Triple-A Norfolk.
Moyer walked only one and struck out five. He signed a minor league contract with the O’s earlier this week after being released by the Rockies. Baltimore may be tempted to give him a crack in the majors if the success continues, but the 49-year-old left-hander is doubtful to be very effective.
