Dan Haren allowed four solo home runs but still managed to pick up the victory against the Rockies on Saturday.
He allowed 10 hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work while walking one and striking out four. Such is life at Coors Field. Marco Scutaro, Carlos Gonzalez, Chris Nelson and Tyler Colvin all took him deep. Haren did manage to step up and make some big pitches to get of of trouble when he needed to, limiting the damage against him. He’ll take a 4-6 record and 3.73 ERA into his start against the Diamondbacks at home on Friday.
