Though he lasted only 2 1/3 innings, Andrew Cashner was impressive against the Brewers on Saturday striking out five and topping 100 MPH on his fastball on numerous occasions.
He allowed one run on two hits and a pair of walks in the shortened effort. He’ll now head to Triple-A to get his arm stretched out before returning to the rotation in a couple of weeks. His extreme talent makes him an interesting stash in most leagues, especially since he’ll be pitching his home games in friendly PetCo Park.
