Jason Heyward stayed hot on Friday night, going 2-for-5 with two runs scored in the Braves’ 4-3 extra-innings victory over the Blue Jays.
Heyward drove in a run with an RBI double in the sixth inning, then led off the 10th with an infield single. He was promptly bunted over to second, then daringly swiped third with Andrelton Simmons at the plate and scored as J.P. Arencibia’s throw sailed into left field. Heyward’s average is back up to .250 after the two-hit effort, and he now has 10 stolen bases to go along with his eight home runs.
