Jaime Garcia will receive opinions from Dr. James Andrews and Dr. Lewis Yocum this weekend on his ailing left shoulder.
Garcia was examined Wednesday by Cardinals medical supervisor Dr. George Paletta and received an MRI. Paletta diagnosed him with a strained shoulder, which could mean a variety of things. General manager John Mozeliak indicated Thursday that surgery was “not on the table” at this time, but we won’t know for sure until after Garcia gets his second and third opinions.
