C.J. Wilson turned in an extremely impressive performance on Friday, shutting down the Rockies at Coors Field, allowing just one run on five hits in eight innings.
Wilson racked up nine strikeouts while walking just one in the game. Wilson lowered his ERA to 2.39 which is second only to Chris Sale (2.30) in the American League. The lone blemish on his fantastic outing was an RBI double from Marco Scutaro in the sixth inning. He’ll take a 7-4 record with him into Los Angeles where he’ll battle the Dodgers on Wednesday.
