Ricky Nolasco (Marlins)

6/2/12 5:55 pm

Ricky Nolasco pitched well against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing four runs on eight hits over seven innings of work, picking up his sixth victory of the season in the process.

Nolasco struck out five and walked two in the game. He was hit for single runs in each of the first three innings, but settled in nicely afterwards. The Phillies didn?t grab their fourth run until the eighth inning when Steve Cishek allowed an inherited runner to score. Nolasco has been one of the Marlins most dependable starters on the year, with a 6-3 record and respectable 4.35 ERA. He?ll look to keep rolling when he takes on the Rays at home on Friday next week.
