Rick Porcello pitched extremely well against the Yankees on Saturday, allowing just one run on six hits over his six innings of work.
He walked one and struck out three in the game. Unfortunately for Porcello, Octavio Dotel was unable to protect his lead surrendering a run in the eighth inning. He remains 3-4 on the season, though he lowered his ERA to a somewhat more manageable 4.86. He?ll look to carry over this strong effort when he squares off against the Reds in Cincinnati on Friday.
