Josh Outman (Rockies)

6/2/12 12:35 am

In his first start of the season, Josh Outman tossed 3 1/3 shutout innings Friday night against the Dodgers.

Outman gave up just two hits while striking out five and walking one. He’s in the process of being stretched out, so Rockies manager Jim Tracy pulled him after 55 pitches. The southpaw certainly proved worthy of remaining in the rotation, so he currently lines up to face the Diamondbacks next week. We want to see more before trusting him in fantasy leagues, but he does own a 3.84 ERA over 159 1/3 innings in the big leagues.
