Hiroki Kuroda (Yankees)

6/2/12 10:25 pm

Hiroki Kuroda turned in a strong performance against the Tigers on Saturday, allowing just two runs on seven hits over seven strong innings of work.

He walked one and struck out four in the game. He allowed a towering homerun to Miguel Cabrera in the fourth inning and an RBI single to Quintin Berry in the fifth as the extent of the damage. While he remains 4-6 on the season, he improves his ERA to a much more respectable 3.82 with the strong outing. He’s now turned in two straight quality starts, and will look to keep that streak going when he takes on the Mets at Citi Field on Friday.
