LaTroy Hawkins (finger) threw a 20-pitch simulated game on Friday and will likely begin a rehab assignment on Sunday.
He looks on track rejoin the Angels bullpen within the first two weeks of June. With as well as Ernesto Frieri and Scott Downs have been pitching in the ninth inning, Hawkins will return to his familiar setup role.
