Mark Trumbo went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday’s loss to the Yankees.
Trumbo plated a run with a first-inning sac fly before tagging Ivan Nova for a two-run homer in the fourth. The bomb was his 10th of the season, while he’s now up to 26 RBI to go along with his sizzling .348/.396/.632 battling line. Trumbo can’t be expected to keep hitting in the mid-.300s, but it’s clear he’s a better player than many were giving him credit for in 2011. He appears poised to hold his value in even the shallowest of mixed leagues.
