Ian Kennedy held the Giants to one run on five hits in 7 2/3 innings of Wednesday’s 4-1 win.
That’s more like it. Kennedy struck out seven and walked two in throwing a career-high 122 pitches. Coming into this evening, Kennedy had allowed four or more runs in three of his past four starts. The stellar outing leaves him with a 4.26 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 59/18 K/BB ratio through 69 2/3 frames. He’ll get the Rockies at home next Tuesday.
