Cubs activated RHP Carlos Marmol from the 15-day disabled list.
Marmol was erratic in two relief appearances over the weekend at Triple-A Iowa but he didn’t allow any runs. The Cubs will let him work on his command in a low-pressure relief role in the majors. James Russell is expected to see the bulk of save chances in Chicago going forward.
