Paul Konerko kept up his torrid hitting in Sunday’s 12-6 win over the Indians, going 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI.
Konerko plated a run on a first-inning fielder’s choice before taking Ubaldo Jimenez deep for a three-run blast in the fourth. The bomb was the 407th of his career, and 11th of the season. He’s now batting an eye-popping .399 .476 .681 through Chicago’s first 48 games. The 36-year-old Konerko is all-but assured of his third All-Star appearance in the past four seasons.
