Nick Blackburn (quad) will begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday.
Blackburn will make two rehab appearances before rejoining the Twins, so he won’t be activated when first eligible. Anthony Swarzak is expected to be optioned to the minors once he’s able to return.
