Brandon McCarthy (shoulder) resumed throwing on Friday.
The expectation is that he’ll only require the minimum stay on the disabled list. McCarthy has a 2.95 ERA and 40/16 K/BB ratio in nine starts this season. Graham Godfrey will likely be demoted when he returns.
