Robinson Cano connected on his fifth home run of the season to lead the Yankees to a 3-2 victory over the Royals on Tuesday.
He finished the night 1-for-3 plus a walk, including that solo blast off of Phil Hughes in the fourth inning. After a slow start to the season, he now has his average up to .304 to go along with his five homers and 17 RBI. He remains one of the best pure hitters in the league and should have no problem finishing the season as a top-five second baseman.
