David Robertson (Yankees)

David Robertson loaded the bases in the ninth inning Tuesday but still converted his first save of the season in a win over the Rays.

He walked a pair and allowed a Sean Rodriguez single but was able to get around it with a couple strikeouts. Robertson has yet to allow a run in 13 innings this season and now sports an eye-popping 23/5 K/BB ratio. Yankees manager Joe Girardi hasn’t officially anointed him as his new closer, but Rafael Soriano pitched the eighth inning Tuesday night, and it is quite clear that it’s Robertson’s job to lose.
