Josh Johnson lasted just 2 2/3 innings and gave up six runs Friday against the Padres.
It hasn’t been the same old Johnson this season. He started this one with two scoreless innings, though he was shaky in the first. In the third, he gave up three walks and four hits, the last a bases-loaded triple by opposing pitcher Anthony Bass. Defense was an issue — as is typically in Miami — but this isn’t the Johnson who seemed poised to contend for a Cy Young Award if healthy.
