MLB.com’s Brittany Ghiroli reports the Orioles plan to sign free agent 3B/SS Miguel Tejada if he can pass a Monday physical.
Giddy up. Tejada received scant interest over the winter after posting a .239/.270/.326 triple slash with the Giants last season, but the Orioles must be getting impatient with their thus far inept third base duo of Mark Reynolds and Wilson Betemit. According to Ghiroli, Tejada would spend the “foreseeable future” in extended spring training if he passes his physical.
