Bryce Harper (Nationals)

4/27/12 4:30 pm

Bryce Harper is slated to play left field upon his call up from Triple-A Syracuse.

With Michael Morse (lat) on the mend, Nationals’ left fielders have combined to bat a major-league worst .097 (7-for-72) this season, so Harper can’t do much worse. He has primarily played center field this year with Triple-A Syracuse, but he made 37 starts in left last year with Double-A Harrisburg. Harper could go back down to the minors as soon as Ryan Zimmerman (shoulder) is eligible to return from the disabled list on May 6, but he’s worth an add in all formats on potential alone.
