Jeff Niemann allowed two runs on three hits and two walks in 5 1/3 innings of Sunday’s 6-2 win over the Twins.
Niemann fanned five in picking up his first victory, but also made it 3-for-3 on not making it out of the sixth inning. He’ll bring a 4.11 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 16/5 K/BB ratio into his weekend start in Texas. We’d advise keeping him benched for that one.
