The Yankees haven’t yet decided if they will skip Freddy Garcia’s turn in the rotation Saturday.
New York pushed all their starters back a day after Sunday’s game between the Yankees and Red Sox was postponed due to rain. Because the Yankees are off Thursday — Ivan Nova will take the hill Friday — skipping Garcia on Saturday is an option. Garcia is sporting a 9.75 ERA through 12 innings this year, but Joe Girardi hasn’t made a call on his status. “We have not made any [rotation] plans beyond [Friday],” he said.
