Tsuyoshi Wada (elbow) was dealing with some neck stiffness during his latest minor league rehab start on Thursday.
Wada gave up six runs on six hits and four walks over 3 2/3 innings Thursday. If he isn’t able to make his next scheduled start, the Orioles could send him back to extended spring training. Since it’s a new injury, the Orioles could restart his 30-day rehab assignment once he’s ready to pitch in games again. The 31-year-old southpaw doesn’t appear ready to pitch in the majors, so there’s no rush for him to join the rotation.
