Chipper Jones said Tuesday that he expects to return before the Braves’ April 13 home opener.
Jones underwent minor knee surgery last week and was placed on the disabled list Friday. But he’s been able to take batting practice recently and is already feeling pretty good. “Aiming for (April 13), but optimistic that it might be a little sooner than that,” the veteran third baseman told reporters Tuesday evening. “We?ll just have to see how the next week goes.”
