Jamie Moyer had his worst start of the spring Wednesday, giving up three runs on seven hits and three walks over four frames against the White Sox.
He did strike out four. Moyer has been so good this spring that he was bound to have a dud mixed in eventually. The 49-year-old left-hander’s ERA jumped up to a still-terrific 2.77, and he has a surprising 11/3 K/BB ratio over 13 innings. Moyer is expected to nail down the final spot in the Rockies rotation, and while it’s a great story, we’re not expecting much.
